Returns & Refunds Policy
We want Our Costume Cupboard to be simple and stress-free for schools.
Because our products are designed for school use, reuse, and group performances, our returns policy is slightly different from high-street retail.
Faulty or incorrect items
If you receive an item that is:
- faulty
- damaged on arrival
- incorrect (not what you ordered)
please contact us within 14 days of delivery at [your email address], including:
- your order number
- a brief description of the issue
- photos where possible
If the issue is confirmed, we will offer a replacement or refund, depending on stock availability.
Condition of returns
Returned items must be:
- unused
- unwashed
- in original condition
We’re unable to accept returns for items that have been worn for performances or rehearsals.
Non-returnable items
For hygiene and practical reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- headwear, masks, wigs, or accessories worn on the head
- used costumes
- clearance or end-of-line items
This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty goods.
Change of mind
As we primarily supply schools and educational settings, we do not accept returns for change of mind or over-ordering.
If you are unsure about quantities or suitability, we’re always happy to help before you order — just get in touch.
Return postage
Where a return is approved due to a fault or error on our part, return postage costs will be covered by us.
We’re unable to cover return postage for other circumstances.
